Hello and welcome to Andrea Louise Yoga. My name is Andrea Evans and I am a Yoga Teacher, Nurse, Health and Life Coach passionate about promoting a sense of health and wellbeing in others. I became a qualified yoga teacher in August 2017 and I have practiced yoga since 2007. My Yoga classes are friendly, supportive and calming with a focus on the importance of listening and honouring our own bodies, being supported in our own uniqueness and valuing all that we are and want to be.
Yoga has been a very important part of my life for over a decade now and it has been a real honour to share with others what I have learned but also to be able to teach something that has been such a positive influence in my life. I first becam involved in Yoga in my early thirties after a few difficult years of experiencing anxiety and panic attacks. It was a regular Yoga practice that helped me through those times and has continued to do so for the rest of my life, I always feel Yoga has my back. It is the Yoga mat I go to when I am feeling stressed, unsettled, anxious, struggling to sleep and needing a calming influence.
In 2015 with my love of Yoga and passion for teaching I decided to embark on an 18 month, 200 hours, Yoga teaching programme with Mick Timpson at the Yoga Life Project in Manchester. On qualifying I became a member of the Yoga Alliance Professionals. Becoming a Yoga teacher was not a decision that I took lightly but certainly a decision with no regrets, it has been a truly amazing journey.
In 2019 I became a fully certified Health Coach and Life Coach. As well as one to one coaching I will be combining yoga and coaching on forthcoming workshops. Through Coaching I will provide support and accountability for you, provide opportunities for you to reflect, inspire you to take action and move you out of your comfort zone towards any health or life goal you have. Classes are 90 minutes long so students can explore and develop their Yoga practice and to understand how yoga can be of benefit to them as an individual. From September 2019 I will also be running a 75 minute pregnancy yoga class for those ladies who are 14 weeks pregnant and over. For information on both classes please click here.
